MOSCOW CLUB & LAB OF NON-PROFESSIONAL FILM MAKERS
These films give us a unique chance to see how ordinary Soviet people lived behind the Iron Curtain.
They are not pieces of official propaganda; rather, stories from real life filmed by enthusiasts in their free time. Some documentary films are about work and leisure of Soviet people, some films are animated cartoons, and some are about nature and travelling.
We all share one thing, no matter when and where we live – the underlying humanness. That is why these films, many of which are fragile with time, may touch you or make you smile as you see scenes from the days long gone by.
